Delivery and Substitution policy:
Uplifting Flowers strives to provide the best customer service available. It is our belief that as a real flower shop, we understand and appreciate the concerns of Internet shoppers regarding the security and proper fulfillment of their orders. We have established the following policies to provide our customers with a complete understanding of how all issues are processed:
 
SAME DAY CUT OFF: In most areas, orders placed as late as 11:00 am in the recipient's time zone can usually be delivered that day (earlier times may apply to some areas and at holidays). Monday - Friday 7:00am-5:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am-12:00 & Sundays Closed. Deliveries may be delivered after this time frame. PLEASE NOTE: If we have exceeded our daily limit of same day deliveries we will stop all phone and online orders for the day excluding holidays.
 
DELIVERY TIME: We always do our best to accommodate our customers’ delivery needs. However, we are not always able to guarantee delivery at a specific time of day, especially during busy holiday periods. To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Delivery Instructions field during checkout. Before major holidays, we strongly recommend that you place your orders several days in advance. 
 
NON-DELIVERY: If any customer claims an order was not delivered, we ask that we are given at least 24-48 hours to investigate and to determine what has occurred. In many cases, delivery was attempted but either the recipient was not home/office and/or no neighbors were available to accept the order. We reserve the right to attempt a redelivery if this occurs. If it is determined that Uplifting Flowers did not make the delivery attempt, it is our policy that we will provide you with a refund.
 
NON-DELIVERY (Wrong Address): If for any reason Uplifting Flowers attempts delivery and the address is incorrect, we will contact you to request the correct address. If after the second attempt with the new address provided, and delivery still cannot be made you will be notified. The order will then be canceled. No Refund will be issued due to the arrangement being made, and multiple attempts to the delivery arrangement. 
 
REFUNDS: If an order is filled and delivered to the recipient and there is a question of the quality of the arrangement, Uplifting Flowers must be contacted on the date of delivery. Please understand that flowers are perishable; we cannot guarantee how many days your arrangement will stay fresh. Proper care is required, this is the responsibility of the recipient. No Refunds, Store Credit, or Replacements will be made for any order should the recipient or sender not notify Uplifting Flowers on the date of delivery of the original delivery date. If a refund is warranted please understand, that we will minus delivery fee and 50% off the total amount, should we issue a refund. 
 
SMALL ERRORS: Uplifting Flowers understands your concern, however in the event of small errors in the order such as the wrong card message we do not offer a full refund as the recipient has received the flowers which are the value of the order. We believe in being fair and reasonable in circumstances like this and fully apologize for this inconvenience. These rare errors do happen as the florists are only human.
 
FRAUD: Uplifting Flowers reserves the right to reject any order provided to us that we deem questionable or possibly fraudulent. Uplifting Flowers receives an order, we review the entire order and periodically compare the information provided to us with the bank of the person placing the order. If we determine that fraudulent information is provided we will send an email or phone call to the sender to inform them of the situation to determine if the information was provided in error.
 
CANCELLATIONS: Should any customer place an order through Uplifting Flowers and then need to cancel the order, the cancellation must be made 24 hours prior to the delivery date. If the cancellation is received on date of delivery or after order has been delivered, No Refund can be issued. Cancellations will not be accepted if a customer places an order but provides information that prevents direct delivery, such as in the case of a wrong office or home address (See Non-Delivery Wrong Address). The customer can obtain new information so that the order can then be properly delivered using correct information.
 
SUBSTITUTIONS: Uplifting Flowers will always attempt to fulfill an order as closely as possible. However, if the container, flowers or other items that comprise the order are unavailable, the order will be substituted with content equal to the original value of the order. When a customer allows substitutions, this means that the sender is allowing Uplifting Flowers to use flowers they have available to work with while trying to keep the arrangement as similar as possible. This may mean that the recipient does not necessarily receive an arrangement identical to what is pictured though every effort is made to do so. In cases of specialty items, such as items in a ceramic container, a different container with similar value will be used. For green and blooming plants, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type but may substitute with another color. Containers for plants will be as close as possible.
 
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral arrangements typically require additional lead-time. If your sympathy or funeral order requires delivery at a specific time of day, please let us know 48 hours in advance so we can best accommodate your needs. Uplifting Flowers will not be held responsible for any mishandling of Funeral Arrangements, such as incorrect card messages, switched card messages or improper tagging. Uplifting Flowers will take all measures to deliver your Funeral Arrangement with its correct information and tagged correctly, however, we are not responsible for any incorrect card messages or switched card messages there will be No Refunds for these instances. 
 
DELIVERIES TO SCHOOLS: We have dealt with many deliveries to schools, during regular school days most schools with no issues, but some will hold deliveries until the end of the day to avoid distractions during class.  During Valentine's Day, we experienced some local schools shutting down for all deliveries, if there is any possible way to deliver directly to the home, we strongly suggest this on this day. Uplifting Flowerscannot be held responsible if a school fails to deliver to the facility/student, we are directed by school officials to leave with them, or if we are denied receipt of the item. No refunds will be given. 
 
DELIVERY TO HOSPITALS: We are experienced at making deliveries to hospitals. When placing your order, please be sure to include the hospital name and telephone number, the name of the recipient and room number or ward of the recipient. We will send your gift bouquet in accordance with facility procedures, as most hospitals do not allow florists to personally deliver to individual rooms. Please note that many ICU patients are not permitted to receive flowers. Please check with the hospital before placing your order.
 
RECIPIENT NOT HOME: If you have specific instructions for the delivery of your gift bouquet, please note them in the Special Delivery Instructions field during checkout. In all other cases, if the recipient is not at home when we attempt a delivery, we will either: Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time; Leave a note on the recipient's door asking them to contact the florist to schedule a delivery time; Leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home (porch, garage, or other entrance) Leave the bouquet with a neighbor and place a message on the recipient's door with this information.

TAXES: Taxes are based on prevailing rates in our store location currently at 8.8%, subjected to change according to state adjustments.
 
PRIVACY & SSL: We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL encrypts your order information as additional protection against the decoding of that information by anyone other than us. However, despite all reasonable security precautions and processes, such as password protection, encryption technology, and use of firewall technology, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personally Identifiable Information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the security of any information you transmit to or from our Site, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will take commercially reasonable precautions to protect its security on our systems.
